Christian Aid Collective Scotland

We are bound together by our stories. So when poverty impacts anyone, anywhere, it's a threat to everyone, everywhere.

Who are the Collective?

The Christian Aid Collective is a movement of young people desperate to create a different world. We believe that all should live in a world without poverty and injustice, a world where everyone has what they need to live life in all its fullness.

We are driven by our belief in a God who created a world in which every single person on the planet is loved and infinitely valued.

  • We believe that the way the world is today is not the world that God intended.'

We believe that the way the world is today – a world in which millions of people go to bed hungry every night, a world in which nearly a billion people live in extreme poverty, a world that is controlled by structures that oppress people for their gender, race or sexuality – is not the world that God intended.

We want to create a space where young people can grow to know a God who radically loves the poor. We want to empower them to follow the pattern of the early church who built a community where everyone's needs were met.

What do we do?

The Christian Aid Collective is building a movement of young people and youth leaders who will get involved with Christian Aid's work around the world.

We exist to:

  • Connect young people to other people around the world who are affected by the structures that are keeping people poor
  • Empower young people to speak out against injustice, to challenge the structures that create inequality, and to build local and global communities that meet the needs of all people
  • Provide a platform for young people to share the ways that their church traditions and faiths meet a God who cares for the poor
