Marcia's orange hair

An orange tint in five-year-old Marcia’s hair reveals something menacing.

Malnourished children like Marcia have been going without the vital nutrition they need ever since they were born.

Their hair is brittle, their skin is dry, their growth is stunted and their frail bodies are exhausted – leaving them extremely vulnerable to dangerous bouts of diarrhoea, dysentery and internal bleeding that worms in their stomachs can cause.

Building strength

Food supplement We were there to give Marcia and her friends the two things they needed to rid themselves of intestinal worms and start to build their strength: sachets of de-worming medicine and a tub of nutritious food supplement.

Gentle yet effective, the de-worming medicine quickly gets rid of the parasites with no nasty side effects – and the food supplement, called Vitabalu, really is a miracle in a tub.

Made from locally sourced ingredients like lentils and plantain, it’s fortified with the vitamins and minerals these children have gone without for so long.

How you can help

Please donate today and help rescue a community from chronic malnutrition.

£18 could provide one child with the life-saving medicine he or she needs to get rid of intestinal worms, and a six-month supply of a nutritious food supplement to help build their strength.

£54 could provide three children with the life-saving medicine they need to get rid of intestinal worms, and a six-month supply of a nutritious food supplement to help build their strength.

£91 could go towards compost, seed kits, a spade and mesh to grow a kitchen garden full of nutritious fruit and vegetables.
